A multiprocessor system having a direct access booting operation and a direct access booting method thereof are provided to simplify the booting procedure and increase the booting speed when the initial booting is performed in the multiprocessor system, and increase the booting speed of a processor which does not form a memory link architecture during the initial booting without using a host or DRAM interface. A semiconductor memory device(400) is accessed by the first and second processors(100,200). A flash memory(300) forms a memory link architecture together with the second processor and semiconductor memory device. The flash memory directly provides booting-related data to the first processor when the first processor is booted. The semiconductor memory device has at least one or more common memory regions(11). The first and second processors commonly access the common memory regions through respectively different ports.
