A surgical operating apparatus is provided to secure an airtight property inside a handle unit by forming a seal unit between a sheath and a driving pipe. A sheath(18) has a distal end part and a proximal end part. A probe main body is inserted inside the sheath. An ultrasonic vibration is delivered in the probe main body. A probe distal end part is positioned on the distal end part of the probe main body. A jaw is supported in the distal end part of the sheath. A first tubular member(33) has a tubular body(33a) and a slit(234). The tubular body is fitted on the proximal end part of the sheath. The slit is formed in an outer circumference wall part of the tubular body according to an axis direction of the sheath. A second tubular member is fitted in a rear end part of the first tubular member. A driving member(19) rotates the jaw by a slide movement. A connection member includes a connection body. The connection body connects the driving member to the second tubular member.
