A bar coating device, a coating method using the same and a method for manufacturing the optical film are provided to obtain a uniform coating film without smudge on the coating surface. A bar coating device comprises a bar(20) applying the coating solution to a strip-like body(18); a supporting member(22) which is installed at the bottom side of the bar and supports the bar; a supply slot(34) which is installed at the upper part of the strip-like body traveling direction than bar and supplies the coating solution; and a discharging slot(40) discharging excess coating solution.
