摘要 A semitransparent liquid crystal display device is provided to prevent the loss of transmittance in a transmission region and the reflection in a reflective region and to simplify a manufacturing process by arranging a liquid crystal of the transmission region and the reflective region in a single mode. A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) substrate(40) includes a TFT, a first polarizer and a first liquid crystal alignment film. The TFT is formed on a first insulating substrate. The first polarizer is formed on the TFT as a wire grid polarizer. The first liquid crystal alignment film is formed on the first polarizer. A color filter substrate(100) includes a color filter, a second polarizer, and a common electrode and a second liquid crystal alignment film. The color filter is formed on the second insulating substrate to face the TFT substrate. The second polarizer is formed in the lower part of the second insulating substrate. The common electrode is formed on the color filter. The second liquid crystal alignment film is formed on the common electrode. A liquid crystal(30) is interposed between a thin film transistor substrate and the color filter substrate. A phase difference layer(70) changes the phase of the light polarized through the second polarizer. The phase difference layer is classified into a transmission region(70a) and a reflective region(70b). The transmission region is composed of the anisotropy phase difference layer having the phase difference. The reflective region is composed of the isotropy phase difference layer without the phase difference.
