A 6-speed power train of an automatic transmission is provided to reduce the volume and total length of the automatic transmission by using a simple structure which has two sets of planetary gear trains. A 6-speed power train of an automatic transmission comprises an input shaft(10), the first planetary gear set(PG-1) and the second planetary gear set(PG-2). The driving force is delivered to the input shaft from an engine through a torque converter. The first planetary gear set comprises one actuating element connected with the input shaft. The second planetary gear set comprises two actuating elements, which are variably connected through the medium of the rest two actuating elements of the first planetary gear set and a clutch means, and the rest one actuating element which is connected with an output shaft(20).
