<p>An energy absorption device of a seat belt retractor is provided to prevent malfunction and disengagement of a retractor in case of collision by improving the configuration of a torsion shaft and simplify assembly process of a retractor by integrating a base lock, and a torsion shaft and a spool. An energy absorption device of a seat belt retractor comprises a spool(12) wound around a webbing of a seat belt; a shear pin formed in the spool; and a base lock in which a torsion shaft(22) and the shear pin are assembled. A protrusion is formed on one side of the torsion shaft passed by a spline to be combined with the base lock. The protrusion is assembled to a gear and a cover through a hole of the base lock. A groove combined with a protrusion of a cover is formed on end of the spool.</p> |
