The invention relates to a method for food catering for a plurality of consumers. According to said method, food is divided into portions for a plurality of carrier elements in a first unit (A), the carrier elements in the first unit (A) are packed into separate packages, the packed carrier elements are transported to a second unit (B), the food is heated in the second unit (B), the carrier elements in the second unit (B) are removed from the separate packages, the heated food on the carrier elements is distributed to the plurality of consumers, and the carrier elements are then transported to the first unit (A) wherein the food is again divided into portions for the plurality of carrier elements, in order to be able to meet the high qualitative demands of consumers for low-cost food catering. |
