An adaptive battery holder, a battery charging system including the same, and a battery charging method using the same are provided to perform an optimal state for charging a battery according to a kind of an external contact device connected to a battery holder. An external contact device is connected to a battery holder(S101), and is a notebook or an adaptor for charging. The battery holder checks a change of a signal line according to a contact of the external contact device(S103). The signal line is at least one among USB(Universal Serial Bus) lines connected to the external contact device. The battery holder determines the external contact device based on a change of the signal line(S105), sets a charging condition according to a determined external contact device(S109), and charges a battery according to a set charging condition(S111).
