A thermal printer is provided that the paper transport load is reduced in section printing by pressurizing a first thermal printing head with a first flatten roller of a first arm. A double surface thermal printer(1) comprises a first arm(31) and a second arm which is opened and closed with the first arm. A first flatten roller(21) is mounted on the first arm. A second thermal print head(12) is mounted on the second arm. A first thermal print head(11) and a second platen roller(22) are placed in a printer frame(30).
