A system and method for converting contents of an affiliated DRM(Digital Rights Management) into contents of a compatible DRM, and a recording medium where a computer program for realizing the method is stored are provided to achieve the compatibility with incompatible digital contents having a different type of DRM mode. A network computer terminal(10) converts contents of an affiliated DRM into compatible DRM contents through a re-packaging process and the application of a newly generated RO(Right Object). The re-packaging uses the newly generated encryption key. A DRM compatible processing system newly generates the RO of contents through management for the generated encryption key, and then provided the generated RO to the network computer terminal. The DRM compatible processing system comprises a DRM compatible server(16) and a DRM rights providing server(20).
