METHOD OF PERFORMING UPLINK TIME ALIGNMENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method of performing uplink time synchronization in a wireless communication system is provided to restart a time synchronization timer without signaling about additional time correction. A random access preamble is transmitted(S320). A random access response which includes a random access preamble identifier corresponding to the random access response but does not include a time correction value is received(S330). As the random access response is received, the time correction timer is restarted(S350).
