A thermometer that can be secured to the exterior of a glass pane forming part of a window of a building is disclosed. The thermometer has a temperature display, a contact portion and a support arm cantilevered from the contact portion, and the contact portion has a suction surface to engage the glass. The display can be read from inside the building, through the glass pane.
