Provided is a pharmaceutical composition, comprising an agent effective to induce an immune response against an amyloid component in a patient, a pharmaceutical excipient and an adjuvant, wherein the agent is selected from the group consisting of AH, AApoA1, ATTR, Alys, Agel, AAN, AIAPP, Acal, synuclein-NAC fragment and immunogenic fragments thereof. Further provided are uses of corresponding antibodies and polynucleotides coding for the antibodies in the manufacture of medicaments as well as pharmaceutical compositions comprising the antibodies.
