A dispensing closure assembly suitable to be engaged to a complementary container, the assembly comprising or including a first moulded component ("first component") 46 adapted to engage an outlet of a complementary container and having a column providing an outlet from which any liquid content of such a container can egress, the first component including a closure portion above the outlet and at least one formation at least partially circumferentially disposed from the column, adapted to guide and receive a complementary axial guide; a second moulded component ("second component") about the column of the first component and having a dispensing outlet capable of being closed by the closure portion of the first component, at least one axial guide of the second component co-acting with the formation of the first component, to restrict movement of the second component relative to the first component at least substantially to non-rotational axial movement; and a third moulded component ("third component") held captive by the first component but rotatable relative thereto, and being threadedly associated with the second component so that rotation of the third component can cause non-rotational axial movement of the second component relative to the first component to effect opening and closing of the dispensing outlet.
