Bituminous emulsions, their method of preparation and their use for the production of materials and road pavements

The present invention relates to bitumen emulsions that can be used in roadmaking applications for the production of cold mixes, emulsion-stabilized gravel and road pavements obtained at ambient temperature, the cohesion of which at young age is substantially improved over the cold mixes, emulsion-stabilized gravel and road pavements of the prior art. These bituminous emulsions are characterized by a median diameter of 0.6 mum or less, and preferably 0.5 mum or less.
