Pyrimidine nucleoside 5'-triphosphoric acid is converted into pyrimidine nucleoside 5'-(cyclic triphosphoric acid) with a condensation agent. Subsequently, the pyrimidine nucleoside 5'-(cyclic triphosphoric acid) obtained is reacted with pyrimidine nucleotide in the presence of a salt of a metal selected among magnesium, manganese, and iron to synthesize di(pyrimidine nucleoside 5'-)polyphosphate. A non-protected pyrimidine nucleoside 5'-phosphoric acid compound can be used as a raw material in this process and the target di(pyrimidine nucleoside 5'-)polyphosphate can be synthesized in a yield of 50% or higher. The process is hence suitable for the mass synthesis of di(pyrimidine nucleoside 5'-)polyphosphate. |
