A netpen 1 for breeding, storing and transporting fish in the sea and that can be semi-submersed or floated high in the water, is formed in the shape of a dual curved body such as a sphere or ellipsoid that is rotatable about a horizontal axis. The netpen includes a framework of stays 2, 3, 4 of polyethylene and a horizontal centre cylinder 5 extending through the pen. The centre cylinder is sufficiently stiff to serve as an attachment and supporting structure for the pen and as a buoyancy adjusting element for the pen by adjusting the amount of water within the cylinder. |
