Disclosed is a calcium dietary supplement in chewable dosage form, comprising one or more calcium phosphate salts and a chewable candy base, wherein the supplement comprises from 1.4 to 2.1 parts by weight (pbw) calcium per pbw phosphorous; less than or equal to 10 percent by weight of the calcium phosphate salts have a particle size of greater than 20 micrometers and greater than or equal to 90 percent have a particle size of less than 12 micrometers; and the supplement comprises from 100 milligrams to 1200 milligrams of calcium per individual chewable dosage form and from 100 milligrams to 1000 milligrams of phosphorous per individual chewable dosage form. |
