<p>The invention relates to a vertical separator and to a gas separation and filtration process meant to be carried out within the claimed petrochemistry installation. According to the invention, the separator comprises an external metal body (1) provided inside with a wall (c) making an angle of 45A with the vertical plane and dividing the internal part of the body (1) into a compartment (a) for separating and storing the separated solid particles and a gas filtering compartment (b), wherein there is a turbine (7) in connection with a filter (8) fixed in the separation compartment (a) by means of a pipe (16) breaking through the wall (c), in front of which, at the external part of the body (1) there are coaxially mounted a gas intake pipe (6) and a gas outlet pipe (17), each of them being provided with some pressure gauges (13 and 14). The claimed separation process consists of the expansion of the mixture to be separated and the increase of its speed, the motion thereof along a circular path during which the centrifugal separation of water and solid particles takes place, the gas being then passed through the filter, where its speed is reduced, thereby allowing an easier filtration.</p> |
