Concrete reinforcing mats are now still often laid by hand, this being heavy and unhealthy work. This special lifting tool has been developed to pick up a stack of concrete reinforcing mats in a single operation. At their destination these mats can then be easily delivered one by one from the bottom. The lifting tool must be mounted on a lifting device by means of a balancing assembly. It can be operated by one person and can readily be set to enable operation with most used types of concrete reinforcing mat. Using this lifting tool the concrete reinforcing mats can be placed in more rapid and ergonomic manner with much less manpower and with fewer lifting movements.
