A syringe comprises a barrel and a plunger (7) which slides within the barrel and seals it. The barrel has at least one device, in the form of grooves (10,11), interrupting a cylindrical surface of its inner wall. The plunger has a locking device composed of a pair of flukes (17). The arrangement is such that the locking device operates on engagement with an interruption device on withdrawal of the plunger to prevent further withdrawal movement. |
