The method involves sawing logs for removing two slabs, and creating two flat spots on both the sides of the logs. Sections (T) are obtained in same length from the logs. The sections are arranged on a section holder plate (300) for being juxtaposed and parallel with the flat spots. The sections are sawn by relative movement of a blade (230) of a band saw (200) with respect to the plate, where the blade is arranged parallel to an axis of the sections. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a method for fabricating a wood shingle.
