#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves positioning a spacing stick (10) on a smaller section perpendicular to an axis of a blank (1) based on a measurement of local radius of the blank. Different combinations of cask woods extractable from the blank are simulated using the stick at the level of the section for maximum utilization of the blank. An optimal face cut or an optimal cord is determined based on the local radius by utilizing the stick.
