<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation input device performing high-accuracy detection of a shape of a structure by simple arithmetic processing with a simple configuration, and allowing a diverse operation input method. <P>SOLUTION: The operation input device includes: composite detection elements respectively disposed in one portion and the other portion, each having an inclination detection element and a magnetic detection element; a branch decision means selecting whether to use inclination information or to use magnetic information outputted from the magnetic detection element based on the inclination information outputted from the inclination detection element; a relative angle calculation means calculating relative curve angle information between the composite detection elements by one piece of information of the magnetic information and the inclination information selected by the branch decision means; a structure shape estimation means estimating the shape of the structure based on curve angle information of one portion and the other portion obtained by the relative angle calculation means, and outputting structure shape information; and an operation input analysis means converting the structure shape information outputted by the structure shape estimation means into operation input information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
