NOISE SUPPRESSING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise superimposed on a reception signal while attaining compatibility of noise reduction and sound quality improvement. SOLUTION: A noise suppressing apparatus is disclosed which detects noise superimposed on a reception signal and suppresses the detected noise, and the noise suppressing apparatus includes: a complex signal generating section which converts an intermediate frequency signal obtained by performing frequency conversion on the reception signal into a complex signal represented with a real part and an imaginary part; a noise detection section which detects whether a level change amount of the complex signal exceeds a predetermined threshold being an index of noise generation; and a noise suppressing section which suppresses a level of the complex signal when the level change amount exceeds the predetermined threshold.
