摘要 <p>This invention provides a toner, which, while suppressing contamination of an image white ground part attributable to the proportion of presence of fines having a particle diameter of not more than a specific value, residual images (ghost), blurring (solid-image follow-up ability) and other unfavorable phenomena, can improve image quality, has good cleaning properties, can reduce problems, for example, with contamination in long-term use even in use of a high-speed printing machine, and has excellent image stability, and an image forming apparatus and a toner cartridge using the toner. More specifically, this invention provides a toner for electrostatic charge image development characterized by satisfying all the following requirements (1) to (4), or a toner for electrostatic charge image development characterized by containing a charge control agent and satisfying all the following requirements (5) to (7), and an image forming apparatus and a toner cartridge using the toner. (1) The volume median diameter (Dv50) is not less than 4.0 µm and not more than 7.5 µm. (2) The average circularity is not less than 0.93. (3) The volume median diameter (Dv50) of the toner and the percentage number (Dns) of toner particles having a particle diameter of not less than 2.00 µm and not more than 3.56 µm satisfy a relationship of Dsn = 0.233 EXP (17.3/Dv50). (4) The coefficient of variation of the number of particles is not more than 24.0%. (5) The volume median diameter (Dv50) of the toner is not less than 4.0 µm and not more than 7.5 µm. (6) The volume median diameter (Dv50) and the percentage number (Dns) of toner particles having a particle diameter of not less than 2.00 µm and not more than 3.56 µm satisfy a relationship of Dns = 0.233 EXP (17.3/Dv50). (7) The average diameter of recesses formed upon the removal of the charge control agent present on the surface of the toner is not more than 500 nm.</p>
