<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing a plant extract having a slightly astringent taste and primarily containing a large amount of a functional ingredient such as polyphenol, from the fruit of a plant belonging to the genus Aronia of the family Rosaceae. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for producing a plant extract, which is characterized by comprising the following processes (1) and (2), namely the process (1) of squeezing the juice of the fruit of a plant belonging to the genus Aronia of the family Rosaceae [Aronia melanocarpa in particular] to obtain its juice and lees, and the process (2) of obtaining a liquid extract from the lees obtained by the process (1) by subjecting it to an extraction treatment on heating by immersing and heating it in a solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
