<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in vivo indwelling object capable of following the expansion operation by coating the surface with biodegradable polymers with soft tissue compatibility and excellent ductility, and without generating cracks or separation on the coating layer. <P>SOLUTION: The in vivo indwelling object is retained inside a living body, and comprises an intravital indwelling object body and a biological bioactive substance releasing layer formed on the surface of the in vivo indwelling object body.
