<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unnecessary vehicle control to obstructions which do not become obstruction for the traveling of own vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When an object recognized as a control object by a control object recognizing means M5 by the previous time is no longer recognized as a control object this time, the object predicted by a relative relation predicting means M3 is considered as being actually detected one, and extrapolated to the limit of a prescribed number of times by an extrapolation means M6. Since the limiting number of times of the extrapolation of the extrapolation means M6 is reduced, for example, from five times to twice, when the object is a stationary object and has such continuity as to be continuous approximately at regular intervals, the number of times of extrapolation of stationary objects, such as illuminating lamps provided for the ceiling of a tunnel at regular intervals can be reduced, to prevent vehicle control unnecessary to stationary objects, with which own vehicle cannot come into contact, and resolve the driver's sense of incongruity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
