PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent polymer film having in-plane retardation with reverse wavelength dispersion and having thickness-direction retardation with normal wavelength dispersion. SOLUTION: The transparent polymer film is characterized in that: the wavelength dispersion of the in-plane retardation shows reverse wavelength dispersion; the thickness-direction retardation shows normal wavelength dispersion; and the film includes an in-plane slow phase axis at a wavelength of 500 nm in a direction perpendicular to the in-plane orientation direction of the polymer.
