PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain thermal damage to an exhaust sensor while securing sufficient maintenance performance, and to prevent intrusion of oil from a sensor hole to which the exhaust sensor is inserted in a cover for an exhaust device arranged to cover the exhaust device of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The sensor hole 42 to which the exhaust sensor 28 attached to an exhaust passage member 27 of a catalyst converter 4 in order to detect an exhaust state of the diesel engine is loosely inserted is opened, and an inner surface side protrusion 45 inwardly protruded in order to protect a base part of the exhaust sensor from the high temperature heat is provided on an opening edge of the sensor hole. Further, an outer surface side protrusion 55 outwardly protruded in order to prevent intrusion of the oil into the sensor hole is provided on the opening edge of the sensor hole.
