PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a wall member used in an outer corner section from an existing siding panel, and an exterior wall made by using the wall member. SOLUTION: A wall member manufacturing method comprises the end section machining process of removing a ship-lap recess in the vicinity of at least one end face of the existing wall member in the horizontal direction, the cutting process of cutting the end face of the existing wall member into a curved surface or a polyhedric surface after the end section machining process to the existing wall member is completed and the coating process of coating the cut face cut in the cutting process to provide the cut face with a design equivalent to the design of the front face. In the cutting process, the end face may be cut into an arc shape of a horizontal cross section with a radius not larger than the thickness of the design panel, and a groove equivalent to the joint groove formed in the surface of the siding panel is formed in the end face. The wall member can be made by using the existing siding panel, and the existing wall member and manufacturing equipment can be effectively used. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
