PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device capable of improving production efficiency by attaining switching between the double-row conveyance of narrow sheets and the single-row conveyance of wide sheets. SOLUTION: The double-row conveyance of narrow sheets and the single-row conveyance of wide sheets can be attained by providing delivery machines 11, 12 and winding machines 13, 14 with driving means capable of both the single-row conveyance and the double-row conveyance. Each of tension adjusting means 16, 17 and 18 is provided with a common dancer roll 37 used as a tension adjusting roll for the wide sheet and one narrow sheet, and an exclusive dancer roll 38 used as a tension adjusting roll for the other narrow sheet. A position adjusting means 19 is provided with a common swing roll 45 used as a position adjusting roll for the wide sheet and the one narrow sheet, and an exclusive roll 46 used as a position adjusting roll for the other narrow sheet.
