<p>The present invention relates to a character inputting device. The character inputting device includes an input unit (40), a detection unit (50), and a control unit. The input unit (40) is configured such that a plurality of input areas (41) is radially arranged around a reference location (S), one or more characters are assigned to each input area, and the respective characters can be selected through different input actions. The detection unit (50) is configured to separately detect different input actions for each of the input areas.
