<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability in validation by tracing an original data file corresponding to print request job data back to its generation or edit stage. <P>SOLUTION: At a print request, a quantitative comparison based on features first determines whether or not job data pertinent to the print request is job data that must be validated, and if the job data must be validated, the matching of an operation log against preset validation criteria validates or invalidates it. Job data processable in a relatively short time by the quantitative determination is filtered before the execution of the validation which requires a relatively long time.
