摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an effective use of hydrogen supplied from a hydrogen-supplying device after the stop of a fuel cell or hydrogen remaining in a hydrogen supplying channel. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a fuel battery equipped with a plurality of unit cells each composed of a cathode for reducing oxygen, an anode for oxidizing hydrogen, and a solid electrolyte film arranged between the cathode and the anode, and a hydrogen supplying channel for supplying hydrogen to each of the plurality of unit cells, and constituted by connecting at least a part of the plurality of unit cells in series or in parallel, and a hydrogen-supplying device coupled with the fuel battery. At least one or more of the unit cells of the fuel battery is provided with a voltage detecting means for detecting an output voltage of that unit cell, and, after the stop of power supply from the fuel battery to an external load, the power supply from the fuel battery to a backup load is carried out until a value of the output voltage from the above unit cell detected by the voltage detecting means is lowered to a preset voltage value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
