PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device of inspecting anticorrosion coating capable of evaluating characteristics of the anticorrosion coating by non-destruction. SOLUTION: The method of inspecting the anticorrosion coating inspects the characteristics of the anticorrosion coating formed on the surface of a metal base material. The method sets color of the anticorrosion coating of a standard specimen as numerical data (reference data) of an expressing color system. Next, the method measures the color of the anticorrosion coating of an inspection object specimen S as numerical data (measured data) of the expressing color system, and detects color difference of the anticorrosion coating of both the specimens from the measured data and the reference data. The method judges the characteristics of the anticorrosion coating of the inspection object specimen S on whether the color difference is a prescribed threshold and below or not.
