PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing/drying machine exhibiting excellent wrinkle reduction effect by introducing and filling mist generated in an atomizing unit into a rotary drum and effectively wetting the surface of clothes, and capable of retaining the quantity of mist introduced into the rotary drum in a fixed range even if the quantity of generated mist varies. SOLUTION: The laundry is brought up to the bottom wall part of the rotary drum 4 facing an air inlet 18 by the forward/backward rotation of the rotary drum while introducing mist 20 generated in the atomizing unit 30 into the rotary drum 4 through bottom wall through-holes 4f formed in the rotary drum 4 from the air inlet 18, and a face in contact with wet mist is changed while bringing wet mist introduced through the bottom wall through-holes 4f into contact with the laundry. When the rotation is switched, the rotary drum 4 is temporarily stopped, while dry mist is introduced into the rotary drum 4 through the bottom wall through-holes 4f. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
