PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a flowerpot, by which a lightweight, naturally friendly recycled flowerpot corresponding to the modern society can accurately and uniformly be produced at a low cost. SOLUTION: This method for producing the flowerpot, for using waste paper to produce the flowerpot is produced through a waste paper water treatment process 1 for treating waste paper with water to easily take out fibers, a stirring process 2 for taking out the fibers of the waste paper, a separation process 3 for separating the fibers of the waste paper from water, a paper clay-finishing process 4 for finishing into paper clay, a process 5 for shaping the paper clay with a potter's wheel, a dry finishing process 6 for shade-drying the flowerpot finished in the process 5, and a plant culture liquid-adhering process for adhering a plant culture liquid to the inside or inside and upper end portion of the flowerpot finished in the dry finishing process 6.
