[Also in Group XXV] In a disc brake for railway vehicles, the brake disc 3, 5 is secured to a hub portion 1 by means of radially arranged bolts 23 each provided with adaptor sleeves 32 which are inserted into radial bores in the disc and hub portions; each sleeve 32 being formed with longitudinal slots 34 shaped to form interengaging teeth which permit a resilient connection between the brake disc portion and the hub portion to accommodate differences in manufacturing tolerances and thermal expansion problems between the brake disc and hub portions. |
