<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue assisted steering as long as CPUs for controlling the assisted steering in a control device of an electric power steering device is normal. <P>SOLUTION: The control device of the electric power steering device includes a main CPU 101a for controlling the assisted steering, a sub CPU 101b for monitoring the main CPU 101a, an assist permission/prohibition circuit 150 for permitting vehicle steering according to output from the main CPU 101a and sub CPU 101b, and an output nullification circuit 160 for canceling output from the sub CPU 101b when abnormality of the sub CPU 101b occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
