POWER SUPPLY CONTROLLER HAVING CHARGING FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply controller having a charging function based on such a novel method that size and weight can be reduced and a control system can be simplified as compared with conventional methods. SOLUTION: The power supply controller having the charging function includes: a storage battery; n solar cells (n is an integer not less than 2) connected in parallel with the storage battery; n switch means provided between the respective solar cells and the storage battery; a switch controlling means that controls the opening/closing operation of the switch means; and a voltage detecting means that detects the charging voltage of the storage battery and supplies each of the n switch means with a signal based on the detected voltage. When the storage battery is charged based on the output power of the solar cells, the switch controlling means carries out control so as to open the n switch means in predetermined order so that the charging voltage of the storage battery does not exceed a predetermined voltage value based on the detected voltage from the voltage detecting means.
