PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion placing device preventing significant heating or fire by detecting failure of a control part provided with an internal circuit. SOLUTION: Since a detection value of a contact point cnt becomes a High state when a second drive circuit 175b is in a failed state, a detection signal applied to a port 4 becomes a Low state. In a control IC 174, threshold determination of the detection signal is carried out, and by this, it is recognized that the second drive circuit 175b is in the failed state. Then, in the control IC 174, relevant recognition results are referred, and output of an ignition signal is blocked irrespective of that output preparation of the ignition signal is arranged. In such manner, in the combustion type placing device 100, since whether or not the second drive circuit 175b is broken can be judged by the control IC 174, current supplied to the second drive circuit 175b is suppressed, and excessive heating and unnecessary wasting of power supply can be prevented.
