PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new low-cost internal combustion engine excellent in mechanical efficiency, fuel saving property and pollution control property, having a reformed lubricating mechanism capable of obtaining time allowance for burning a fuel without accompanying knocking and combustion noise especially to facilitate excellent fuel saving property. SOLUTION: The lubricating mechanism consists of at least one first cross head oil groove formed at an interface of a cylindrical bearing surface of a moving contact part on the inner and outer surfaces of internal combustion engine. At least one third axial oil groove intersecting with first or second oil groove is formed on an outer surface of a piston skirt, at least one deep V-shaped groove and one slot groove are formed on an outer surface of a rocker arm and a spark ignition device or a fuel injection device has spring-controlled centrifugal advance fly weights for automatic regulation in accordance with engine speed from idling engine speed to maximum engine speed.
