PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of suitably inhibiting deterioration of a combustion state accompanying deterioration of a glow plug. SOLUTION: Advancement collection of fuel injection timing of cylinder at which the glow plug 13 is disposed is carried out when deterioration of the glow plug 13 generating heat according to electricity supply and accelerating ignition and combustion of fuel is detected. Consequently, fuel injection timing is advanced and deterioration of the combustion state accompanying deterioration of the glow plug 13 is inhibited when ignition delay and combustion speed are deteriorated due to deterioration of the glow plug 13.
