<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell separator which has realized both superior supply performance of a fuel gas and an oxidant gas and superior drainage performance of generated water generated by electrode reaction. <P>SOLUTION: The separator 10 is constructed of a separator main body 11 and a collector 12. The main body 11 prevents mixing of the fuel gas and the oxidant gas. The collector 12 is molded of a metal lath MR in which the angle between the forming direction of a strand part (through hole forming part) to form through holes of mesh shape and step shape and the forming direction of a bonding part (connecting part) to connect the strand parts is made nearly 60°. Thereby, the thickness of plate can be made large, while the pitch P of the collector 12 is made small. By this, the pressure loss of introduced gas can be reduced and a superior gas supply performance is secured, and the generated water generated in an MEA by capillary action occurring in the through holes can be drained excellently. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
