PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition having excellent stability caused by the effect to prevent the coagulation, agglomeration and separation of included components and exhibiting good feeling and to provide a gelatinous cosmetic composition giving good feeling. SOLUTION: The cosmetic composition contains 0.01-3 mass% fine fibrous cellulose having a length (major diameter) of 0.5μm to 1 mm, a width (minor diameter) of 2 nm to 60μm and a length/width ratio (major diameter/minor diameter) of 5-400 and 0.01-40 mass% surfactant.
