<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded optical element, particularly, a plastic lens which has good balance between the refractive index and the Abbe number and a low photoelastic constant and is excellent in surface hardness, impact resistance, transparency and heat resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The molded optical element is formed of a copolymerized polycarbonate resin or a polycarbonate resin-blended material. The copolymerized polycarbonate resin is composed of a carbonate constituent unit [A] shown by formula (1) and another constituent unit [B] derived from bisphenols and characterized in that the molar fraction of the carbonate constituent unit [A] is 50-99 mol% of the total of the carbonate constituent units [A] and [B]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
