PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new hyperlipemia-treating agent. SOLUTION: The hyperlipemia-treating agent comprises a furan fatty acid represented by general formula (1) or a physiologically acceptable salt thereof. Preferably, the hyperlipemia is hypercholesterolemia. The hyperlipemia-treating agent is preferably used for the purpose of improving hyperlipemia having already manifested or for the purpose of preventing the worsening of hyperlipemia having already manifested. In the formula, R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>are each independently a hydrogen atom, or an optionally substituted 1-8C alkyl or alkenyl group; and n is an integer of 3-30.
