PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jetting device which can cool an ink jetting head and suck a recording medium onto the surface of a recording medium holding member opposed to the ink jetting head by one system, and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: This liquid jetting device 2 includes a head fixing member 13 having an ink (liquid) jetting head 11, the recording medium holding member 10 provided to be opposed to the ink jetting head 11, and an air current generating member 17 generating air current. The ink jetting head 11 ejects a liquid drop to the recording medium 5 so as to perform recording thereon. The air current generated by the air current generating member 17 is made to pass through the inside of the head fixing member 13. A first through-hole 34 opening on a recording medium holding surface 99 is formed in the recording medium holding member 10, and is made to communicate with a channel of gas allowed to flow by the air current generating member 17, so as to be decompressed.
